Teaching Assistant (TA)

Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:18pm
Work pattern: 31.5 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Salary information: Scale 3, Point 6; £21,962 per annum

Start date: February 2026

About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional TA to join our dedicated team at Minet Junior School. The successful candidate will join a warm and inclusive 4-form junior school to work closely with teachers and pupils. Responsibilities include assisting in classroom support during lessons, providing individual and small group support, preparing classroom materials, and monitoring pupil progress.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred.
• A genuine passion for working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and adaptability.
• A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• An NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
