Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

Salary information: Scale 3, £20,622 - £20,916 per annum (depending on experience)
Work pattern: 30 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Contract type: Temporary until July 2026
Start date: March 2026

Ideally, we are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant but would be happy to consider people with recent voluntary experience of working in a nursery or infant classroom. Ideally the successful candidate will have a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.

Coteford Infant School is a happy and successful inclusive mainstream infant school. We have well equipped classes with up to date resources and high numbers of well-trained Teaching Assistants supporting children across the school. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• Able to work as part of a team for the benefit of young children
• Ability to relate well to young children
• A “can do” attitude and belief that all children can succeed with support
• Ability to use basic technology such as computers and photocopiers
