Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 1:20pm
Work pattern: 24.17 hours per week, Term time only + 5 training days (39 weeks) 
Salary information: Scale 2, £16,577 - £16,814 per annum (dependent on experience) 
Start date: ASAP

We are seeking a patient, nurturing and compassionate individual to work as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in our school. This role will involve working with children across the school and with various year groups as required.

We are seeking a candidate who considers themselves an able multi-tasker, who is confident and considerate when dealing with children and adults, who is willing to go the extra mile to get the job done, can work with initiative and who loves a challenge.

The candidate will be responsible for working under the direction of teachers to assist in all aspects of classroom life: preparation of resources, classroom organisation, supporting individual children and groups with their learning, including those requiring additional support. There will be an element of ‘standing up’ to cover teachers where needed too.

This role will include a Play Leader responsibility over lunch time depedent on the needs of the school.
