We are seeking a patient, nurturing and compassionate individual to work as a level 2 teaching assistant in our school; initially this role will be KS2 based, but this could change dependent on the needs of the school.

We are seeking a candidate who considers themselves an able multi-tasker, who is confident and considerate when dealing with children and adults, who is willing to go the extra mile to get the job done, can work with initiative and who loves a challenge.

The candidate will be responsible for working under the direction of the teacher to assist in all aspects of classroom life: preparation of resources, classroom organisation, supporting individual children and groups with their learning, including those requiring additional support. There will be an element of ‘standing up’ to cover teachers where needed too.

This role may also include playground supervision during break time and lunchtime (as a play leader) dependent on year group.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes a challenge and enjoys working in an environment where every day is different.

We are looking for a person who:

  • Has the child’s interest at the heart of every action.
  • Is professional, nurturing and friendly.
  • Is highly inclusive of all children.
  • Has the ability to form and promote positive relationships with the school community.
  • Is a team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
  • Is dynamic, confident and considerate.
