Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
Work pattern: 30 hours per week, Term time only + training days (approx. 39 weeks)
Salary information: Scale 1, point 2, £20,189 per annum
Start date: ASAP or January 2026
Global Academy is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Administrator to join our team and provide essential support to students’ wellbeing, behaviour and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day pastoral support for students across the Academy.
- Act as the first point of contact for students presenting with minor illness or injury, carrying out calm, proportionate triage and helping them return to lessons where appropriate.
- Work with individual students and small groups to support wellbeing, behaviour and engagement.
- Act as a key contact for students, parents/carers and staff regarding pastoral and basic medical matters.
- Support the safeguarding team by identifying and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Help students develop resilience, confidence and positive attitudes to learning.
- Provide administrative support for SEND, behaviour, inclusion and attendance, contributing to the Academy’s wider behaviour and attendance strategies.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
- Be approachable, empathetic and committed to student wellbeing.
- Be able to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families.
- Remain calm and professional under pressure, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality.
- Be willing to undertake first aid training (or already be first aid trained).
