The Role:
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Headteacher to lead our school. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to our values and vision, fostering a creative and supportive learning environment. They will be responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and management of the school, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and sustain the school’s ethos and strategic direction in partnership with those responsible for governance and through consultation with the school community.
- Create a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching school life.
- Promote positive and respectful relationships across the school community, ensuring a safe, orderly, and inclusive environment.
- Lead, manage, and develop staff members, including appraising and managing their performance.
- Ensure the effective use of resources and manage the school’s budget efficiently.
- Engage with the community and work in partnership with parents/carers and the local community.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Holder of the National Professional Qualification for Headship or applicant working towards it, or willing to undertake the qualification.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent.
- Evidence of proven strong, successful leadership and management experience in a school.
- Experience of raising standards that have impacted positively on pupils and teaching and learning.
- Strong operational skills to effectively manage school resources and oversee daily administrative tasks.
- ILM7 qualification or willingness to obtain this qualification to support the coaching ethos embedded throughout the school.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Further relevant professional and/or academic study and evidence of CPD.
- A relevant leadership qualification.
