At Longfield Primary School, we believe that it is important to have high expectations for all our children and staff alike. We want all our staff to be reflective in their practice: to lead, share, contribute and to advance change that supports effective learning for all our children.

We are lucky to have a very supportive Parents Association, who have been an integral part of our school community. It not only exists to raise funds for the school community but brings together staff, parents, children and friends socially in support of the school working towards a common goal.

We hope you that will find Longfield Primary School a happy and friendly place to work and very much look forward to welcoming you into our community. This is an excellent opportunity for you to become part of our forward-thinking team who have high ambitions and to benefit from our professional development programmes!

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged. To book your appointment or for more information about working for us, please contact us on 020 8868 7663 or email

Parents and carers, pupils and staff overwhelmingly agree that the school is welcoming and inclusive.

Learning Together, Achieving Forever

Longfield Primary School first opened in 1935 and is steeped in traditions some of which are still evident today. We are a four-form entry primary school situated in the heart of a vibrant multi-cultural community in Harrow. In September 2011, Longfield Infant School & Nursery and Longfield Junior School amalgamated to become Longfield Primary School.

Learning is at the heart of our community and Inclusion is an integral part of Longfield's ethos. Our holistic approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and English, as an Additional Language is what makes us special.

We at Longfield want all our children, parents and carers to feel that they are part of our community, a partnership that strives to achieve excellence with a commitment to lifelong learning. We strive to equip our children with the skills and values to succeed in their journey through life!
