Site Manager
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Work pattern: 37 hours a week + approximately 4 hours overtime per week for lettings, All year around (52 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 7am - 6.30pm (worked on a split shift basis in term time)
Salary information: Grade 5, £26,420 - £28,770 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Start date: February 2024
Beechwood Primary School is looking to recruit a Site Manager to take over from our long-term and well respected Site Manager, who is retiring. The role will involve organising contractors and managing our cleaning team to ensure the school community has a safe and well maintained school to be proud of, providing an environment that supports our children in their learning.
Beechwood Primary School is situated in the centre of Woodley and shares the site with Ambleside Children’s Centre and The Woodley Library. There is an opportunity for additional hours to close the Ambleside Centre in the evening, should that be of interest.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, committed and is flexible.
- Competent in general maintenance and with a willingness to learn new skills and support with a range of projects across the school.
- Knowledgeable of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- Able to work through problems and undertake tasks which will often need a hands-on approach.
- Well organised, able to work independently, can prioritise their busy workload.
- IT literate.
- Able to think on their feet to deal with emergencies and resolve problems as they arise.
- Confident in dealing with all members of the school community.
