School Meals Supervisory Assistant
Salary information: Scale 2, £4,289 - £4,353 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Contract type: Specific Purpose Contract to cover Maternity Leave
Work pattern: 7 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 11.45am - 1.30pm (exact hours to be confirmed)
Start date: September 2024
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident SMSA to start in September 2024 to join our friendly and experienced team of SMSAs, covering maternity leave. You will be sensitive to the needs of children; able to work as part of the team; punctual and reliable.
You will need to be able to communicate well with children aged between 4 and 7, supervising pupils eating their lunch, helping them to socialise with their friends, teaching them playground games as well as ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Experience as an SMSA or similar role is essential.
The hours are 7 hours per week including attendance at the monthly SMSA meeting. The lunch hour is staggered for year groups between 11.45am and 1.30pm. Your exact hours will be confirmed once selected.
