Receptionist

Salary Information: Scale 2, £12,951 - £13,136 per annum (depending on experience)
Work pattern: 20 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 12pm - 4pm
Contract type: Fixed-term (12 months)

We are seeking an exceptional part-time receptionist to join our dedicated team at Minet Junior School; the role will be the first point of contact when entering the school, and will provide administrative support across the school. As a large, four-form entry junior school, we serve a diverse community in Hayes and aim to ensure all children grow in confidence and build strong relationships, encompassed in respect and empathy. As our recent Ofsted report highlights, "Pupils flourish at Minet Junior School," and we are committed to continuing to provide an outstanding education for all our students.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, organised and well-motivated person who will be strengthening the support services across the school. We have high expectations of all school users, our staff and work well as part of a team. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who:

  • Can provide administration support to staff, pupils and parents;
  • Has an excellent telephone manner and is able to deal sensitively with a range of parents and pupil’s needs;
  • Has excellent IT and interpersonal skills;
  • Is able to maintain confidentiality;
  • Ideally has previous school office experience;
  • Is efficient and is able to work on their own initiative and under pressure.
