Purchasing Clerk
Work pattern: 36 hours a week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Contract type: Fixed term contract for 6 months - Flexible working considered
Salary information: Scale 3, £23,977 - £24,320 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Location: Central Team Office, Cowley St Laurence Primary (covering 7 primary schools and central functions)

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting education through efficient procurement? Frays Academy Trust is seeking a proactive Purchasing Clerk to join our central finance team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of purchasing activities across our schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders and track deliveries.
- Verify goods received and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date purchasing records.
- Support vendor management and ensure compliance with Trust policies.
- Collaborate with school staff and finance colleagues.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative roles.
- Have strong organisational and time management skills.
- Have excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems.
