Primary PPA Cover Teacher
Salary information: UNQ - MPR (negotiable depending on experience)
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Working hours: 8.30am – 4.00pm
Start date: ASAP
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Cover Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Purpose of the Job:
To release staff across the key stages, performing all the duties and tasks expected of a class teacher during allocated PPA time. To ensure the effective teaching of all pupils, helping them to develop both inside and outside the classroom. Support the policies and aims of the school and ensure the good social, emotional and physical development of every child.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (Unqualified Teachers with experience in teaching will also be considered).
- A creative and enthusiastic educator who can inspire a love for learning.
- Someone who values building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- A team player who is willing to contribute to the school’s wider community and initiatives.
- A reflective practitioner who continuously seeks to improve their teaching practice.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Must have knowledge and teaching experience of the UK National Curriculum.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching to primary pupils across various year groups during PPA cover sessions.
- Ensure that pupils are engaged, challenged, and supported in their learning journey.
- Follow and adapt lesson plans in accordance with school policies and curriculum guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel respected and motivated.
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on pupil progress.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and contribute to the planning and development of school initiatives.
- Uphold the school’s values, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
