Early Years Teaching Assistant

Contract type: Specific Purpose
Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time only (38 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch break
Salary information: Scale 3, £20,515 - £20,824 per annum (dependent on experience)
Further information: The school are looking for a Level 3 TA, however applications from less qualified applicants will be considered, in which case an alternate appropriate salary will be offered.

BWI Church of England Primary School is opening new nursery provision for 2-year-olds, and we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team. We seek to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and enriching environment for our youngest learners. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the lives of children at the very start of their educational journey, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

We are looking for a nurturing, patient, and dedicated individual with a genuine passion for working with young children. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment where 2-year-olds feel safe and supported. They should be enthusiastic about early childhood education, with a strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. As a team player, they will work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to provide the best possible start for each child. Adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are essential qualities for this role.

We welcome applications from both qualified Early Years practitioners and individuals looking to undertake a training program to qualify at Level 2 or Level 3.
