After School Club Playworker
Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 3.00pm - 5.45pm
Work pattern: 13.75 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Salary information: Scale 2, £8,903 - £9,031 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Start date: September 2025
Early Years L3 qualified or commitment to qualify.
We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and caring playworker who have:
- A positive, warm, enthusiastic, kind and energetic attitude;
- The ability to work and play creatively with the children;
- The ability to work as part of a team;
- The ability to use judgement and common sense;
- The ability to liaise with parents and carers with sensitivity and tact.
Principal Duties:
- To provide high standards of care in a safe and secure setting;
- Assist in planning, preparing and providing creative and fun play opportunities for children aged 3 to 7;
- Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children including those with additional needs;
- Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework;
- Work within agreed policies and procedures.
