After School Club Playworker

(Early Years L3 qualified or commitment to qualify)

Salary information: Scale 2, £8,903 - £9,031 per annum (depending on experience)
Work pattern: 13 hours and 45 minutes per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 5:45pm
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: September 2025

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and caring playworker who have:

  • A positive, warm, enthusiastic, kind and energetic attitude;
  • The ability to work and play creatively with the children;
  • The ability to work as part of a team;
  • The ability to use judgement and common sense;
  • The ability to liaise with parents and carers with sensitivity and tact.

Principal Duties:

  • To provide high standards of care in a safe and secure setting;
  • Assist in planning, preparing and providing creative and fun play opportunities for children aged 3 to 7;
  • Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children including those with additional needs;
  • Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework;
  • Work within agreed policies and procedures.
