Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Term time + 5 inset days (39 weeks)
Salary information: Scale 5, £26,425 per annum
Start date: September 2025
John Locke Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Administration Officer to join our busy school office. Reporting to the School Business Manager (SBM) this is a unique opportunity for someone who already has experience of working in a school office or professional office environment.
You will support all aspects of administration associated with the school office including HR, Finance and Operations. We are looking for someone who is a team player but can also use their initiative and work independently as necessary.
The academy is part of The Elliot Foundation Trust, a successful multi-academy trust specialising inprimary education.
We are looking for someone who will:
- Assist the SBM with administration relating to recruitment including placing adverts, setting upinterviews, safeguarding checks, setting new staff up and updating the Single Central Register.
- Reporting staff absence and overseeing special leave requests.
- Co-ordinating work experience requests.
- Assist with the management of staff record keeping and file management.
- Assist the SBM with finance tasks such as payroll queries, invoicing and fundraising.
- Support with setting up parent consultations and parent communications including the school newsletter.
- Maintain confidentiality and the highest standards of professionalism and integrity at all times.
