1 to 1 Teaching Assistant Special Education Needs (SEN)

Hours of work: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8.30:am - 4.00pm, Tuesday: 8:30am - 4.30pm, Friday: 8:30am - 3.30pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
Salary information: Scale 3, £22,674 - £23,016 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Term time only + Training days (39 weeks)
Contract type: Specific Purpose to support a specific child

Role and Responsibilities: As a 1:1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide individualised support to a student with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor and assess the student's progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the student in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
