We have a vacancy for an efficient, solution-focused Welfare Officer to start as soon as possible.

We are a thriving primary school, serving a diverse community.

The successful candidate will be able to remain calm under pressure whilst having the ability to be pro-active and use their own initiative in a very busy school office.

If you are articulate and confident in talking to people you could be the person we are looking for.

This role requires a flexible approach and a person who is not fazed by the constant interruptions that working in a busy school brings.

Applicants with a current Paediatric First Aid certificate would have an advantage.

Term-time only role working 8.30am to 3.30pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. 3 days per week will be 9.30am to 4.30pm to cover first aid for after-school clubs.

We can offer:

  • A school where you can make a difference to young children’s lives.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to school improvement.
  • A Senior Team with high regard for work-life balance and well-being. Our latest Ofsted report (January 2025) states: Staff are fulsome in their praise of leaders.
  • A supportive and caring environment, Employee Assistance and wellbeing service.
  • Proven track record for providing excellent CPD opportunities.
  • Access to skilled and established leaders to mentor and guide you.
  • Parking facilities on site as well as excellent transport links.
  • A caring, vibrant environment in which to work; where your voice is heard and your skills are valued.

Laurel Lane is close to bus and overground train routes.

Previous applicants need not apply.
