Annual leave entitlement: 26 days per year + 8 Bank Holidays
Work pattern: 36 hours per week on a shift basis, All year around (52 weeks)
Location: Northwood Road (Harefield Village), adhoc visits/cover at Royal Lane (Hillingdon)
Salary information: Scale 3, £29,436 - £29,856 per annum (dependent upon experience) + SSA, £1,539 per annum

The successful candidate will be required to take annual leave during school closures only; October Half Term, Winter (Christmas) Break, February Half Term, Spring (Easter) Break, May Half Term, Summer Holidays.
Please note that annual leave MUST be taken every year during the whole Winter (Christmas) break as the school premises closes completely during this time. Meadow High School is a Special Needs School, which provides education for secondary aged students aged 11-19 years with moderate and complex needs including challenging behaviour and autism. The school has received a good OFSTED report for the quality of the teaching.
Due to our expanding roll and opening of a new site, an opportunity has arisen for a full-time Site Assistant to join our dedicated team of staff at Northwood Road. This is a new additional site based in Harefield Village and will house up to 100 Pathway 1 pupils, ready for us to occupy in September 2026.
We require a full time Site Assistant who is able to provide a caretaking service for the school site, ensuring that the school premises are kept to the approved standard or specification, and to ensure that the school provides a clean and secure environment for its pupils.
The successful candidate will be expected to start their role in August 2026 initially at our Royal Lane (Hillingdon) site prior to our new site opening in September. A full induction and training will be provided.
Applicants should have:
- GCSE’s or equivalent. (Essential)
- Have sound experience in general maintenance and repairs. (Essential)
- Ability to carry out the physical demands of the post, such as substantial walking, heavy lifting and moving items and equipment. (Essential)
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member. (Essential)
- The post holder must be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils. (Essential)
- Be able to take initiative to prioritise workload. (Essential)
- Flexibility with working hours. (Essential)
- Be able to start work at 5.45am and be available to lock up at 6.30pm. (Essential)
- Have experience working in schools. (Desirable)
- Have a full and clean uk driving license. (Desirable)
