School Business Manager
Contract type: Full time, Permanent (flexible working considered)
Salary information: POB, NJC Points 34 - 38 £48,003 - £52,194 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Start date: January 2026

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic professional responsible for ensuring that our finances and business management support teaching and learning.
The Business Manager is responsible for the planning and management of the school’s budget, advising on financial and HR matters and also have responsibility for overseeing the grounds and building maintenance, catering and GDPR. You will line manage the site and admin teams and will promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s performance objectives and development priorities.
We are looking for:
- A dynamic proactive individual with proven ability of financial, personnel and premises management.
- A school business management qualification or three years’ experience.
- Proven experience of SIMS.net and SIMS FMS, or alternative school finance databases.
- Extensive experience in all areas of Microsoft Office and an eye for detail.
- The ability to lead a team.
- The ability to train others in required skills.
- Experience of working in a busy school environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to organise your work under pressure and reach deadlines.
- A commitment to the School’s Equal Opportunity Policy & Safeguarding Policy and procedures.
The Business Manager will play an active part in the Resources Committee and will be required to report on financial and other relevant matters.
