SEN Learning Support Assistant
Contract type: Specific purpose - 1 to 1 support for a specific child
Work pattern: 30 hours per week, Term Time only (38 weeks + training days on request)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm;
Salary information: Scale 4, £21,219 - £22,146 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Start date: ASAP
The Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with complex medical and learning needs. This support may be delivered within the whole class, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCo to address the pupil’s individual needs, helping to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the classroom, enabling them to achieve their full potential. The role will involve implementing a range of targeted intervention programmes to support the pupil’s diverse needs within our setting.

If you have excellent questioning skills, can work effectively as part of a team, and are able to use your own initiative, this could be the role for you.
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and listening skills who has the ability:
- To use initiative and to follow instructions;
- To form good relationships with the children;
- To be able to ensure the health and safety of all pupils at all times and follow the process for reporting incidents;
- To stay calm and be patient and understanding when dealing with the children.
