Nursery Nurse (Maternity Cover)

Contract type: Specific Purpose - Maternity cover
Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term time only + 5 Training days (39 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:40 (40 minutes unpaid lunch)
Salary information: Scale 5, £25,342 - £26,474 per annum (dependent upon experience) 
Start date: May 2026 

Glebe Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our Nursery team on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive school.

You will be working alongside a wonderful team of staff who are committed to providing a nurturing environment and delivering engaging learning experiences for our youngest children.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality nursery provision, working with colleagues to promote children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a recognised Nursery Nurse qualification (essential).
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Is enthusiastic, caring and committed to supporting young children’s development.
• Can work effectively as part of a team.
• A Paediatric First Aid qualification would be desirable.
