Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Contract type: Fixed term until July 2027 initially, with the possibility of an extension depending on the provision required from September 2027.
Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term time only + 5 training days (39 weeks)
Salary information: Scale 5, 26,179 - £27,348 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Start date: ASAP

We are looking for a flexible, dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Rabbsfarm Primary School, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within our specialist provision.

The successful candidate will be well organised, motivated and passionate about helping children achieve their full potential. You will support pupils with complex and additional needs, helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is supported to thrive.

The role will involve taking the lead in delivering planned learning and support when the class teacher is absent, ensuring continuity of provision and that pupils’ individual needs are met. You will also work closely with colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure the team works effectively together to deliver high-quality provision for our pupils.

A genuine passion for working with children with SEND, a positive and flexible approach, and the energy and commitment to make a difference are essential.
