Finance and HR Officer

Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am – 4:15pm and Friday, 8:15am – 4:00pm  
Salary information: SO1, £34,310 - £35,225 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Work pattern: 36 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 INSET days + 5 days for school holidays (40 weeks)
Start date: September 2026

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated School Finance & HR Officer to join our team, working closely alongside the Business Manager to support the efficient and effective running of the school’s financial and human resources functions. A proactive and collaborative approach is essential, as you will play an integral part in ensuring compliance, supporting strategic operations, and contributing to the overall success of the school. 

We are looking for someone who:  

  • Can live the aims and ethos of our Catholic school.
  • Has a professional and positive approach along with the ability to communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Is experienced in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and SIMS, with strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and experience of working under pressure in a busy office.
