Attendance and Admissions Officer

Contract type: Permanent
Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday - Firday, 8.30am - 4.00pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
Salary information: Scale 4, £24,756 - £25,837 per annum (dependent upon experience)

We have a vacancy for an efficient, solution-focused Attendance & Admissions Officer to join our team in a busy school office.

We are a thriving primary school, serving a diverse community.

The successful candidate will be able to remain calm under pressure whilst having the ability to be proactive and use their own initiative.

If you are articulate and confident in talking to people you could be the person we are looking for.

This role requires a flexible approach and a person who is not fazed by the constant interruptions that working in a busy school brings.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Form strong relationships with parents/carers.
  • Be responsible for all admissions for The Pond and for all in-year admissions to the school.
  • Liaise with the Trusts’ Admissions Officer, relevant pastoral staff, members of the Senior Leadership Team, parents and the Local Authority as appropriate.
  • Promote and support high levels of attendance.
  • Support students in achieving their full academic potential.
  • Promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture.
  • Manage secondary school transitions.
  • Arrange and lead on visits for prospective pupils and families.

Prior experience is preferred.
