Vanguard Learning Trust is a
cross-phase Trust in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The Trust currently has
five schools: Ruislip High School, Ryefield Primary School, Field End Junior
School, Hermitage Primary School and Vyners School. The Trust has associate
membership with Oak Farm Primary School.
We strive to be a Trust that serves
its local community and is pioneering in its approach to broadening our
students’ lives. We believe in effective teaching which allows our students to
shine both in and out of the classroom and that intellectual curiosity is at
the core of every learning experience. Whilst schools in the Trust have their
own ethos and values, they share the common aspiration that all students can
achieve their potential and life is a journey of discovery.
Vanguard Learning Trust is an equal
opportunities employer.
Vanguard Learning Trust was first
established as Vyners School Academy Trust in October 2011. When Ryefield
Primary School joined the Trust on 1st February 2015 the name was changed to Vyners
Learning Trust. The name was changed again to Vanguard Learning Trust on 29th
March 2018, to facilitate further schools joining the Trust. Vanguard Learning
Trust was delighted to welcome Hermitage Primary School and Field End Junior
School on 1st September 2021.
Whilst schools within the Trust retain
their individual identities and their own Local Governing Body, they operate as
the same legal entity with a single Board of Trustees who have responsibility
to ensure that the vision and values of the Trust are lived up to at each
school and that each Local Governing Body is held accountable for the highest
levels of teaching and learning within their schools
