Slough Centre and Chalvey nurseries originally joined together in 2009 to form a ‘soft federation’, however due to the level of success enjoyed, the decision was made to form a single Governing Body across both schools and in 2012, The TLC Nursery Federation began its journey.
Despite being only two miles apart, our two schools remain very unique places to work and learn, which are a reflection of the local communities which they serve.
In the past seven years, our federation has improved outcomes for children and allowed staff to take charge of their own professional development whilst working towards the shared aims of our schools.

Under the guidance of our Senior Leadership Team, our two schools have thrived into beacons of excellence in their own right, and are both rated as Outstanding. Our ability to share practice and expertise across both sites has helped us to refine our practice and develop a strong, well experienced team.
