At RNIB Sunshine House, we offer a part-time curriculum to children under 5 following the Early Years foundation curriculum. For children over 5, we have a tailored curriculum appropriate to their level of development and pace of learning. We provide special attention to any developing sensory skills, so we can improve upon the access to learning opportunities, support independence and develop a desire to learn more.
At our school, we work in 'a cohesive partnership between therapists and teaching staff, to provide suitable activities that are interwoven throughout the school day' (Ofsted 2019).
