At Ruislip High School, we recognise that our greatest asset is our staff. We appreciate that if staff are to be effective practitioners over a sustained period of time, school leaders need to provide them with the professional development opportunities both in and out of school. We want our staff team to be highly motivated and feel valued for their hard work and commitment to our students’ education.

In order to help our staff have the best possible experience and achieve a real work-life balance, we have put into place a range of measures to benefit both our teaching and support staff colleagues. These can be divided into the following categories: Professional development, Wellbeing, Staff discounts and entitlements and ‘Buy-in’ schemes.

Ruislip High is committed to developing their staff and ensuring they receive the necessary support and challenge to be successful at the school.

We invite inspirational, influential and effective staff, to join us in supporting our students through their Ruislip High School journey. A full list of our staff entitlements available at the school can be found in this booklet.

Pupils thrive at this school. Leaders have placed inclusivity at the heart of school life. Pupils receive a highly ambitious education. This includes excellent support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

From grass roots, to reaching for the sky...

Ruislip High School is a secondary comprehensive school located in Ruislip, Hillingdon. We first opened our doors in September 2006 and in 2014, converted to academy status under Vanguard Learning Trust.

Ruislip High offers students a diverse range of opportunities both in and outside the classroom. Our new building, with unrivalled facilities, reflects the founder's dream to create a school which aims to develop students from 'grass roots' and allows them to 'reach the sky'. As a school, we are proud to offer the Duke of Edinburgh awards at all levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Our Arts, Healthy Schools, International and Sport mark reflects our commitment to developing each individual as a 'whole person'.

We are a school both in, and for, our community. We strive to be the best school we can be for our community and are determined to educate all our students, so that they can fulfill their undoubted potential. In both the Ofsted inspections we received, we have been graded as Outstanding!
