Nanaksar Primary is a positive and nurturing school, where we work in partnership with the wider community to provide children with an outstanding learning environment.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, that is enriched with different learning experiences and visits. Meeting our pupil's individual needs, whilst promoting their spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development, as we prepare them for their academic careers.

At our Academy, we promote the values of the Sikh community: serving others, humility, achievement, respect and equality. We are a school which has perfected the balance between our British heritage and the Sikh ethos. As a result, we welcome staff from a range of backgrounds and faiths to join our vibrant and inclusive environment.

Leaders take staff’s and pupils’ views into account when they implement change. For instance, they ask the staff about which training will be most helpful and effective. Whereas, pupils contribute to ideas such as which books the school should purchase.

Ofsted 2019

As part of the Guru Nanak Multi Academy trust, Nanaksar Primary is a four-form entry primary school. We pride ourselves in being a warm, friendly and inclusive school. Where we nurture and challenge our students into becoming the very best learners, whilst being polite and respectful members of the community.

Our vision is very simple in that we want:

To build a strong community based on the Sikh religion.
To provide quality education that is broad, balanced and relevant to the needs of pupils within a modern society.
To enable all pupils to achieve their potential through the highest standards of teaching and learning.
To develop each pupil’s self-esteem, confidence and independence with consideration for others and the concept of Sewa.
To strengthen bonds between home, community and school, providing a preparation for each pupil’s entry into the wider community.
To be committed to encouraging every member of our community to invest in life-long learning and personal development.
