Teaching Assistants

Salary information: Scale 2, £23,260 - £23,593 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 INSET days (39 weeks)
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
Start date: As soon as possible

McMillan is a community nursery school for 2–4 year olds with Wrap Around Care supporting over 180 pupils to realise and achieve their full potential.

We are looking for:
  • An excellent Teaching Assistant who is exuberant, creative and a role model, exemplifying our school values.
  • A person who has experience of supporting high quality teaching in the Early Years.
  • A colleague who is a team player and can support and create a culture of high expectations for all.
  • A kind, exuberant practitioner who enjoys teaching through play.
  • Someone who has experience of supporting children with special education needs and is committed to improving outcomes for children. 
The role of the Teaching Assistant:
  • You will be supporting the learning for the children in our nursery.
  • You will be supporting children with SEND needs.
  • You will contribute to the learning, planning and providing for the continuous provision and supporting children’s learning and the implementation of SEND plans.
