Sunshine House Specialist Setting are looking for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to work across the school and alongside our multi-professional therapy team.

You will be integral to the delivery of daily Speech and Language programmes and supporting the work of the Speech and Language team, in addition to promoting the work school improvement projects around communication and pupil voice.
 
You will develop your practice in Speech and Language support whilst also developing a knowledge of other disciplines (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Creative Therapies, Sensory Impairment). This will enable you to seemingly integrate your daily work alongside other professionals, as well as maximise the impact of your own work by ensuring pupils are positioned correctly, ready to engage and able to best focus with the resources you use.
 
It is an ideal opportunity for creative and diligent person who can engage and build rapport with children quickly. You will show an ability to reflect carefully on the support you give others, how this can be most effective for learners with SEND and understand why this might be.
 
This is an exciting and varied role with potential for future career and professional development. Alongside Grangewood School, we are preparing to open a new free school, called Pinn River and will be relocating to this state-of-the art building upon completion (Fore Street, Eastcote). This will have 180 places for pupils with SLD, ASD and complex needs, from age 3 up to age 19.
