School Receptionist and Administrator

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm
Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term time only + 5 INSET days (39 weeks)
Salary information: NJC Scale 4, actual salary starting at £21,507 rising annually to £21,989 (inclusive of Outer London Weighting)
Start date: As soon as possible
Ruislip High School is looking to appoint a highly organised and efficient person with excellent communication skills to join our office team as the main school receptionist. You will be flexible, capable of using your initiative and able to work as part of a team, with a clear confident telephone manner and the ability to work under pressure. As the first point of contact for the school, you will create a friendly but professional impression. You will also be expected to work closely with other members of staff and liaise with students and parents, ensuring the smooth running of the school’s administrative functions.
The post-holder will also provide appropriate medical welfare support to students and support the office manager to keep up-to-date medical records. First aid training will be provided, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will need to be computer literate and proficient in using email. Experience with Google is preferred but training will be available. Experience of using SIMS (Schools Information Management System) is desirable; however, training will be given on SIMS, if required.
