School Receptionist 

Salary information: Grade GO2, point 8, £25,266 per annum (FTE) 
Further salary information: Please note, the advertised salary range is the full-time equivalent and the actual salary will be calculated based on the agreed work pattern
Work pattern: 7.5 hours per week, Term time only (39 weeks) 
Work hours: One day per week, 8:00am – 4:30pm (with a one hour unpaid lunch)

The Governors are looking to appoint a School Receptionist with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be part of our dedicated administrative team. The Receptionist will, under the direction of the School Business Manager, be responsible for ensuring a professional approach to managing all reception duties that reflect the school values. This post would suit someone with previous receptionist experience, and experience of working within a school is desirable.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking front of house duties. Welcoming visitors in a polite, professional and efficient manner.
  • Monitoring access to the site, ensuring visitors sign in and out in accordance with safeguarding procedures. 
  • Ensuring a register is kept of children arriving / leaving whilst the school is in session.
  • Liaising with couriers and delivery personnel acknowledging receipt of goods. 
  • Providing reprographics support and preparing of materials and resources.
