School Business Manager

Work pattern: 32 hours per week, 4 days a week, Term time only + 4 INSET days and 2 additional weeks during school holidays (41 weeks)
Work hours: Monday, 8am – 5pm (SLT), Tuesday, 8am – 4.30 pm, Wednesday, 8am – 4:30 pm and Thursday, 8am – 4.00pm (with 30 minute unpaid break)
Salary information: Scale POA, £33,863 - £37,188 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: 5th May 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and diligent School Business Manager to join our wonderful school community.

The successful applicant will:
  • Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team and assist the Headteacher in ensuring the school meets its educational aims.
  • Provide professional leadership and management of school support staff in partnership with teaching staff.
  • Take responsibility for Financial Resources, Administration, and Management of Information and ICT, as well as HR, Facility and Property Management, and Health & Safety Management.
  • Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the school.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritise, plan, organise, direct, and co-ordinate the work of others.
  • Experience of working with Senior Leaders and a Governing Body.
  • Knowledge and experience of financial and budget management procedures within an educational or similar setting.
