Salary information: Leadership Scale, L2 - L7, £54,979 - £61,786 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract type: Full time, Specific Purpose - Maternity cover

For a unit catering for 10 pupils diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

This is an exciting opportunity, in a well-established provision, that provides high quality teaching in a culture of nurture, challenge and support. We view this provision as an integral part of the school.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a real understanding of integrating students into mainstream lessons, as well as providing high quality adaptations and teaching within the SRP unit and having a proven track record of positive outcomes for students on the autistic spectrum.

We are looking for an SRP Manager who:
  • Has excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop positive and supportive professional relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Has experience of working with children with SEND, in particular, autism and individuals with complex needs and significant social and communication difficulties.
  • Has extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Can model exemplary practice and have a proven track record of impact on children’s achievement and wellbeing.
  • Is a great innovator who can lead the SRP team to create exciting learning opportunities for the children in their care, while sharing expertise with other colleagues.
  • Has a professional attitude, is a great role model and really wants to make a difference for children and families.
  • Works well with agencies and parents/guardians.
  • Is self-reflective and has the desire to be the best they can be.
