SEN Learning Support Assistant

Salary information: Scale 3, £21,646 - £21,956 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract type: Specific purpose - To support a child with an Education and Health Care Plan with learning needs and medical needs
Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Start date: Autumn Term 2025

Please note that this is a specific purpose contract and the position will cease to exist in the event of the EHC Plan funding being withdrawn or the child leaving the school.

Required from the start of the Autumn Term 2025, a motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant, with experience of dealing with children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, to work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCO.

We are seeking to appoint a caring and sensitive learning support assistant to support a child with special educational needs and medical needs.

It is essential that the successful applicant has experience of working with children with learning difficulties and is prepared to monitor toileting needs. 

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, have effective communication skills, a willingness to become involved in professional development and the ability to support children in their learning.

Candidates must be willing to offer a flexible approach.

Knowledge of Paediatric First Aid is also desirable.
