Premises Assistant
Salary information: Scale 4, £29,340 - £30,626 per annum (depending on experience)
Work hours: Monday to Friday, Term time - 6:30am start and School holidays - 8:30am start with some flexibility
Work pattern: 36 hours per week, All year round (52 weeks)

Hillingdon Primary School is a large, outstanding primary school in the centre of Hillingdon. Our premises team is committed to providing the best possible learning environment for our pupils and ensuring the safety of pupils and staff at all times. We are looking for an energetic, proactive and trustworthy Premises Assistant to join our friendly team. The successful candidate must be flexible, hardworking and practical, and keen to get involved in the day to day life of the school.
The duties are varied, including site security, responding to emergency requests, and undertaking a range of maintenance tasks, therefore we are looking for someone with a range of practical and DIY skills. Part of the role will include responsibility for various Health & Safety routines, so good organisational skills are also a must. Previous site management experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
The post holder will be responsible for opening the school premises: his / her working day will start at 6.30am during term time with flexibility during the school holidays to allow for joint tasks to be completed. This is a full time position, but we will consider part-time hours for the right candidate.
We are proud to be part of the Elliot Foundation Multi Academy Trust (TEFAT) - an established primary specialist MAT, and there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to work collaboratively with premises managers at other local TEFAT schools, on joint projects or to provide ad-hoc support, promoting the Trust’s ethos of collaborative working.
