OPAL Play Leader for Lunchtime and After school 

Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 10.30 - 18.30 (with a half an hour lunch) 
Work pattern: 35 hours a week, Term Time only + 5 INSET days (39 weeks)
Salary information: Scale 3, Point 5 - 6, £23,925 - £24,267 per annum (depending upon experience)

We’re looking for a Play Leader to lead our new play programme at lunchtimes (OPAL – Outdoor Play And Learning) and manage our brand new after-school club. We are looking for someone who is dedicated and hardworking, who is passionate about working with children and knows how to have fun as well as being organised and able to be part of a lead a small team. We will give you all the training you need so you will need to be keen to learn and commit to training.

The hours required will be from 10.30am until 6.30pm. You will be organising and leading the activities at lunch and the same for the after-school club with admin time built in daily.

The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to ensure our lunchtime play and learning is always a high standard.

This role requires an enhanced DBS certificate with barred lists check. 

Desirable qualifications

This role doesn’t require any specific qualifications, but it’s even better if you have: 
  • First aid and safeguarding training for children.
  • Experience working with primary school aged children.
  • Level 3 Play Leader Qualification.
