Salary information: Scale 5, £25,748 per annum

John Locke Academy is an outstanding school looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and inspirational Teaching Assistant to support our children. We are a positive, creative, and forward-thinking team of professionals. The academy is part of The Elliot Foundation Trust, a successful multi-academy trust specialising in primary education.

We are looking for an inspiring, flexible Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils and Teachers. The post will involve supporting children’s learning programmes within the class, as well as leading groups. It may also include some lunchtime cover.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Establishing a supportive relationship with the children and their parents, acting as a role model, and being aware of, and responding appropriately to, individual needs.
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children.
  • Developing methods of promoting/reinforcing children's self-esteem.
