Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (French / Spanish)

Salary information: £20.39 per hour
Work pattern: 12 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Contract type: Fixed term for the remainder of the 2025/26 academic year.

The Foreign Language Teaching Assistant will be expected to:

  • Work 12 hours per week, term time only
  • Work with individuals and small groups of GCSE students and A-level students assisting in developing their speaking skills
  • Help to plan activities and lessons, produce resources to help students to improve their language skills
  • Prepare students for their oral examination
  • Have the opportunity to contribute to cross-curricular work in collaboration with other subject areas
  • Introduce students to your own culture by discussing topics such as current affairs, films, sport and festivals
  • Support the creation and/or development of international partnerships with a school in another country
