Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Salary information: MPR - UPR, £34,514 - £51,179 per annum (depending on experience) + TLR 2b, £5,192
Start date: September 2024

We are looking to appoint an Early Years Leader to join our dynamic team from September 2024.

We wish to appoint an energetic and outstanding practitioner who:
  • Has at least four years teaching experience.
  • Leads by example and is an inspiration to both children and staff.
  • Is committed to improving teaching and raising standards through the setting of high expectations.
  • Has a ‘toolbox’ of ideas to help improve our school and the willingness to immerse themselves into the life of the school.
  • Is looking to develop leadership skills.

Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Teaching a class of assigned pupils.
  • To support the DSL by sharing responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school.
  • Monitoring the provision and outcomes for pupils.
  • Leading the Early Years Phase in St Matthew’s CE Primary School.
  • Providing training and support for individuals.
  • To improve teaching and learning in Early Years which provides a level challenge for pupils at all levels and raises expectations and aspirations.
  • To lead Early Years phase meetings and attend Senior Leadership Team meetings to enable effective communication.
  • To lead a curriculum area (negotiable).
