EYFS Teacher (Nursery Teacher or Reception Teacher)

Work pattern: Monday - Friday
Contract type: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time and flexible working arrangements will be considered.)
Salary information: MPS 1 -UPS 3, £34,514 - £51,179 (FTE) per annum (depending on experience)
Further salary information: Please note, the advertised salary range is the full-time equivalent and will be pro-rata'd in line with the hours and weeks worked.

From their first tentative sessions in Nursery through to their final days in Year 6, our staff support our children every step of the way. We are looking for an EYFS Teacher who will embrace Hermitage’s vision, including maintaining its relentless focus on high-quality teaching and learning. Our school is committed to meeting the needs of all pupils which complements Vanguard Learning Trust’s vision of outstanding, inclusive education.

Our new class teacher will:
  • Plan, teach, deliver and assess learning for a class of pupils, as part of a year team;
  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment that enables the children to flourish;
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance for their class, in line with the school’s procedures; and 
  • Be part of a wider team of professionals who have an unwavering belief in the potential of our pupils. 
We are looking for someone who:
  • Can lead by example as a teacher achieving high standards of pupil attainment, behaviour and motivation through effective professional practice;
  • Has the ability to specialise in a subject, providing professional guidance and support for colleagues with other specialists; and 
  • Will play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its ethos and to encourage and ensure staff and pupils follow this example.
