Clerk to Governors 

Salary information: Scale 6, FTE £32,925 - £33,957 per annum (depending on experience)
Further salary information: Please note that the advertised salary is the full-time equivalency and is subject to change dependent upon the hours worked.
Work pattern: 7 meetings a year within Term Time Only (38 weeks)
Contract type: Fixed Term for 1 Year
Work hours: Hours to be agreed
Start date: ASAP

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, experienced and self-motivated Clerk to the Governors. The successful applicant must have a professional manner and be able to provide confidential administrative support to our Governing Body. This will initially be a one year contract.

Note: This post is part-time, home based, term time only and requires flexibility as the schedule of meetings and workloads around them can vary. It is a very interesting and rewarding role and requires attending a 7 meetings per school year that take place in the evening.

The successful candidate to be considered should:
  • Have business or administration qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
  • Be proactive and a clear communicator.
  • Be an efficient and organised person with proven administration and ICT skills.
  • Have regular access to a computer with email facilities.
  • Have an interest in education.
