About the role
We are seeking an inspirational class teacher for Early years or Key stage 1, we also welcome applications from ECTs, with high expectations for learning to join our growing team; inspiring children and promoting excellence. 

William Byrd Primary is looking for candidates who have a passion and desire to accelerate the progress and raise the achievement of all our children.

We would like to hear from enthusiastic, innovative teachers with who would like to join our vibrant team in September 2025. 

You must have the ability to inspire and challenge our children to fulfil their potentials. Having Read Write Inc experience would also be an advantage.

About the successful candidate
As an outstanding teacher, you’ll be able to demonstrate that your teaching has directly impacted on outcomes for pupils. You’ll also be extremely well organised, have excellent subject knowledge, and be an excellent communicator. This role would ideally suit an experienced candidate, however applications from teachers at an early career stage would also be welcomed.

We are looking for a practitioner with the following qualities and experience: 
  • An outstanding and dynamic teacher with the ability to inspire our learners, have high expectations and secure high quality outcomes.  
  • Highly organised with effective communication skills when working with both children and adults.
  • Keen to work flexibly and collaboratively in a wider team, being adaptable to new practices.
  • Committed to inclusive education and raising standards for all, with a very good understanding of SEN provision and best practice.
  • Ability to offer a subject of area of expertise to lead across school – it is important that you state your area(s) of curriculum strength in your application.
About the School
William Primary Academy is in Harlington the London Borough of Hillingdon. The school has served several generations of children for over 50and is firmly established within the local community. We are a broad school drawing children from all faiths and cultures and that diversity adds real value to what we do.

We are a large, 3 form entry primary school. We offer a broad, balanced high quality education from through to Year 6.
