Is Crinkle Recruitment an agency?

We are recognised as a recruitment agency as we provide work-finding services. However, our commitment to reducing the cost of recruitment in education means we operate in a different way from a traditional agency. We do not charge our client schools hiring fees based on a percentage of the salary offered which is a common practice for traditional agencies resulting in high recruitment costs for schools. Candidates cannot and will not be charged for our services.


What kind of schools use Crinkle Recruitment?

We work with all types of schools including community schools, faith schools, foundation schools and academies. The majority provide Primary and Early Years education and we have links with some Secondary schools in the areas we cover.


Where are the schools located?

We work with a large group of schools in the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Harrow, and we also work with a number of schools in surrounding areas including Slough, Hounslow, Brent, Richmond and more.


What suitability checks will I need to complete?

Statutory guidance requires us to complete specific safeguarding checks on all registered candidates. For example, qualification, QTS and ID verification, right to work checks and referencing. When you're offered a position you will be required to complete additional safeguarding checks with the hiring school. We'll keep you informed on our progress with these checks and let you know when they need to happen.

I trained overseas, can I still register?

If you completed your teacher training overseas you will need to check if your qualifications meet UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) requirements. If you're not sure of your status feel free to give us a call. We'll point you in the right direction for further advice and support.


When should I register?

We recommend that you register as soon as possible to get ahead of the competition. You will notice an increase in live vacancies in the run up to teacher resignation dates; 31 Oct, 28 Feb and 31 May. However, through our system and support our client schools can take a pro-active approach to teacher recruitment which means they will start looking early and build talent pipelines which you could be part of.


Is there a closing date?

Registration is open until the end of the summer term (July) as we recruit for positions starting in the new academic year (September). Vacancies listed on our job section will remain open until they are filled. It is recommended that you submit your interest early to avoid disappointment.
